Mishnah Bomb Madness: A Guide
Introduction:
Jews in the Yavneh community are ignoring the incumbent responsibilities of the Shmita year, wantonly collecting debts from their fellows rather than forgiving them. Shmita zealots have been sneakily accosting Jews to transmit the long held traditions that outlaw such egregious practices during the sabbatical year. Should you be Shmita bombed you too must recited those transactions which are permissible and impermissible. The faction which transmits these traditions most effectively will be rewarded in this world and the world to come.
Winning:
There are a number of standards that will be measured to determine the efficacy of each Master and disciple group. The winning faction will swag from shtarkshirts.
This round the game timeline is much shorter. The game will conclude Wednesday, December 15. Therefore, it is imperative to move quickly and acquire as many disciples as possible before time runs out.

How to Play:
- If you have been ‘Mishnah Bombed,’ you are now tasked with memorizing the mishnah listed on the card. The continuation of your mishnah’s oral tradition depends on you! (The QR on the card has resources to aid with learning each mishnah)
- You must recite the memorized mishnah (and your faction’s chain of transmission for extra points) to Yonit Krebs.
- It is then up to you to ‘Mishnah Bomb’ a new person and continue the tradition.
Earning Points:
- One point per mishnah memorized: to earn this point, recite the memorized mishnah to Yonit Krebs.
- One point per disciple acquired: acquiring a disciple involves sneakily placing a mishnah bomb card in a place where they will discover it. Once the disciple has found the mishnah bomb, memorized the mishnah, and recited it to Yonit Krebs, their faction will receive two points, one for the acquired disciple and one for the memorize mishnah.
- One point per transmission chain memorized: A transmission chain is the chain from master to disciple and so on that has propagated this mishnah memorization. Recite your faction’s transmission history to Yonit Krebs to earn this point.
- One point per Mishnah Bomb recorded and posted to social media: send this to Yonit Krebs at [email protected] to earn this point.
- One point per variant memorized: for extra points, you can memorize the versions of your mishnah in the Tosefta or Midrashei Halakha and recite them to Yonit Krebs.
